Overview Skin Laundry is a comprehensive facial treatment designed to deeply cleanse the skin, target impurities, and refresh the complexion. Combining effective cleansing techniques with extractions and restorative care, it’s perfect for individuals looking to improve skin clarity, texture, and overall radiance. Pre-Care Instructions Avoid retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, or exfoliants for 3–5 days before the appointment. Protect your skin from direct sun exposure and use SPF daily. Stay hydrated to ensure your skin is well-prepped for the treatment. Notify your practitioner of any recent skin treatments or medical conditions. Treatment Highlights Skin Laundry utilises a combination of professional cleansing techniques, light exfoliation, and extractions to target clogged pores and excess oil. The treatment concludes with soothing, restorative care to calm and hydrate the skin. While effective, the procedure is gentle enough to respect the skin’s natural barrier, leaving it refreshed and balanced. Aftercare Instructions Refrain from using active ingredients (e.g., retinoids, AHAs, or salicylic acid) for 5–7 days post-treatment. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily to protect your skin from UV damage. Avoid heavy makeup for at least 24–48 hours to allow the skin to recover. Keep the skin hydrated with a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturiser or serum. Steer clear of heat exposure (e.g., saunas or intense exercise) for 24 hours. Potential Side Effects Temporary redness or sensitivity in treated areas. Mild swelling or slight scabbing at extraction sites (rare). These effects are normal and should resolve within a few hours to a day. Contraindications Skin Laundry is not recommended for individuals with: Active skin infections, cold sores, or open wounds. Severe inflammatory or cystic acne. Recent laser treatments, chemical peels, or sunburn (within 2 weeks). Rosacea or highly reactive skin types. Pregnancy (if contraindicated products like salicylic acid are used). Who Will Benefit from Skin Laundry? This treatment is ideal for: Skin Types: Oily, combination, or normal skin. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation & booking policy Deposits A deposit is required to secure all appointments at NJK Derma. This deposit is non-refundable for cancellations or non-attendance. Cancellations & rescheduling Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge provided a minimum of 48 hours' notice is given. Cancellations or requests to reschedule made within 48 hours of the appointment time will result in the deposit being forfeited. Appointments may be moved once without penalty, provided the request is made at least 48 hours in advance. A second reschedule request will require a new deposit to be paid before the appointment is confirmed. Refunds No refunds are issued once a treatment has taken place. Should you have any concerns regarding your treatment, please contact Nicola directly at bookings@njkderma.com. Late arrivals Please aim to arrive on time for your appointment. Arrivals more than 10 minutes late may result in a reduced treatment time, with the full appointment fee remaining payable. Where late arrival prevents the treatment from being carried out safely or in full, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and the cancellation policy will apply. Consultation fee A consultation fee is payable at the time of booking. This fee is redeemable in full against your treatment programme. Consultation fees are non-refundable.
