Service Description
Dermaplaning is a safe, non-invasive exfoliation technique that uses a sterile blade to gently remove dead skin cells and fine vellus hairs. This treatment leaves the skin smoother, enhances product absorption, and creates a flawless base for makeup. It's perfect for clients looking to rejuvenate their skin without downtime. Pre-Care: Avoid retinoids or exfoliating products 48 hours before treatment. Refrain from direct sun exposure for a few days prior. Cleanse your face thoroughly before your appointment. Aftercare: Use a gentle cleanser and avoid harsh exfoliants for 72 hours. Apply a high-SPF sunscreen daily to protect newly exposed skin. Keep your skin hydrated with a non-comedogenic moisturiser. Contraindications: Active acne or inflamed skin conditions. Recent chemical peels or laser treatments (wait 2-4 weeks). Skin sensitivity to exfoliation or active infections in the treatment area. Potential Complications: While rare, mild redness or sensitivity may occur post-treatment. Avoid scratching or touching the skin unnecessarily. Skin Types Best Suited: Dermaplaning works well for all skin types except those with active breakouts or extremely sensitive skin. It is particularly effective for dry, mature, or combination skin.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation & booking policy Deposits A deposit is required to secure all appointments at NJK Derma. This deposit is non-refundable for cancellations or non-attendance. Cancellations & rescheduling Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge provided a minimum of 48 hours' notice is given. Cancellations or requests to reschedule made within 48 hours of the appointment time will result in the deposit being forfeited. Appointments may be moved once without penalty, provided the request is made at least 48 hours in advance. A second reschedule request will require a new deposit to be paid before the appointment is confirmed. Refunds No refunds are issued once a treatment has taken place. Should you have any concerns regarding your treatment, please contact Nicola directly at bookings@njkderma.com. Late arrivals Please aim to arrive on time for your appointment. Arrivals more than 10 minutes late may result in a reduced treatment time, with the full appointment fee remaining payable. Where late arrival prevents the treatment from being carried out safely or in full, the appointment may need to be rescheduled and the cancellation policy will apply. Consultation fee A consultation fee is payable at the time of booking. This fee is redeemable in full against your treatment programme. Consultation fees are non-refundable.
